Stonecroft Room

Escape to our most elegant room in the 1807 House when you rest and relax in Stonecroft Room. This beautiful room guarantees privacy and seclusion from the moment you climb your own private staircase to the second floor. Let the wrap-around hand-painted mural transport you back to the nineteenth century; artistic liberty allows the Beatles to entertain you from the sunning circle.  James Dean and a ghost-like figure are also featured in the mural.  Can you find them?

Relax in this romantic room furnished with beautiful handmade tiger maple reproductions, including a canopied king pencil post bed and chest-on-frame dresser. Sit back in a pair of French Empire Bergere chairs and enjoy the wood burning fireplace (Oct. 1 – April 30) as you marvel at the original wide-plank wood floors throughout, some of which are 22 inches wide. For your comfort and convenience, this room provides a writing desk, free Wi-Fi and AC in the warmer months. The Stonecroft Room also offers a private bath with luxury bathrobes, Turkish towels, and select bath amenities.
