Policies

Office Hours

The office is usually open between 10:30 am and 7:00 pm daily. The office may close earlier during the off-season. To make arrangements for check-in, please contact us at least 24 hours before arrival using the information on the booking confirmation. Front desk staff will greet guests on arrival at the property. 

Check-In and Check-Out

Check-in: 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Check-out:  11:00 am

If you anticipate arriving after 7:00 pm, please let us know so we can set up a late arrival check-in for you.

Room Rates; Dynamic Pricing

Our room rates are based on double occupancy. Two of our rooms can accommodate a third guest, and an additional charge of $35.00 per night will apply. Please note that our nightly rates are dynamic and subject to change based on market demand, seasonality, and availability. Prices may fluctuate throughout the day. The rate provided at the time of your confirmed booking is locked in; however, we do not price-match previous or future rates if prices change after your booking is secured.

Connecticut Occupancy Tax

In compliance with the State of Connecticut Department of Revenue Services, all reservations are subject to the mandatory Connecticut Room Occupancy Tax, as well as any other applicable local or booking fees. These taxes and fees are clearly itemized at checkout.

Identification

A government-issued photo identification card and a credit card or debit card may be required at check-in for incidental charges.

Payments

Single-night stays must be paid in full at the time of reservation. For stays of more than one night, we require a 50% deposit and the remaining balance is due at check-in and will be automatically charged to the credit card on file. We accept credit cards or debit cards for payment

Credit Card Authorization

To secure your reservation, you authorize us to charge your credit card or debit card for all fees associated with your stay at the time of booking.

Cancellation; Travel Insurance

As we are a small business, cancellations can affect us significantly. We realize that cancellations may be beyond a person's control. We highly recommend guests purchase independent travel insurance or the insurance offered on our website at the time of booking to protect themselves against unforeseen eventualities including sudden illness in the family, travel delays, and weather-related reasons.

In the event that a reservation is canceled 14 days or more in advance of the scheduled arrival date, the deposit will be refunded less a $50 processing fee. If a multi-night reservation is canceled within 14 days of the scheduled check-in date, the deposit will be refunded only if the room is re-booked for all nights reserved, subject to a $50.00 processing fee. One-night stays are nonrefundable if canceled within the 14 days of check-in. Holiday reservations are non-refundable within 30 days of arrival Same-day cancellations will be charged the entire amount of the stay. If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact us directly. Reservation changes are subject to a $50.00 administrative fee.

Third-Party Gift Certificates

Please be mindful when presenting third-party gift certificates. We do not accept more than $250.00 in third-party gift card redemptions per stay. Promotions and specials offered by us may not be combined with third-party gift certificates or gift cards. For guests intending on redeeming a gift card for their stay, please let us know when making the reservation. If you plan to use a gift certificate or gift card to pay for all or part of your stay, advance notice is required. Gift certificates are not accepted at check-in without advance notice. 

Smoking

We provide a smoke-free environment for the comfort of all our guests. Smoking, vaping or burning candles or incense within our buildings or on the decks or patios is not permitted. Smoking may be enjoyed in designated outdoor areas. Guests not complying with our non-smoking/no candles policy will be charged an extra cleaning fee of $250.00.

Children

Children 11 years and younger are not permitted at Stonecroft Inn.

Guest Acknowledgements and Responsibilities

  • Guests acknowledge that neither Stonecroft Inn nor any of its booking and reservation agents have made any representations, either expressed or implied, as to the safety or habitability of the premises.
  • Guests assume all risk and expense for any loss, damage, and/or injury to self, members of the reservation party, and/or the property and its contents.
  • Guests agree to hold Stonecroft Inn and its affiliates harmless for all injuries incurred while on the premises, regardless of how such injuries are sustained.
  • Guests agree to not smoke inside the room(s) or in common areas of the buildings. Smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor areas.
  • Please be aware of the potential for brush fires and extinguish all smoking materials properly when smoking outside.
  • Open display or discharge of firearms is prohibited, and guests will be asked to leave the property should firearms be displayed or discharged.
